The Clabaugh Legacy Foundation

Funding the work that outlasts us.

The Clabaugh Legacy Foundation was established to honor the life and entrepreneurial spirit of Karen Knudtson — and to ensure that the nonprofits doing the most important work in our communities have the structural support they need to endure.

In Honor of Karen Knudtson

1940 – 2025

Karen Knudtson spent 33 years building Knudtson Tax Service and co-founded a real estate company — not because she chased recognition, but because she believed in the dignity of doing good work and building something that mattered. She was an entrepreneur, a mother, and a model of quiet strength. This foundation carries her name because it carries her values: stewardship, community, and legacy built one careful decision at a time.

Two Grant Pillars

Where the foundation's support goes.

Pillar 1

NOHR Assessments

Funding Nonprofit Organizational Health Reviews for organizations that need structural clarity but lack the resources to access it. Stronger nonprofits build stronger communities.

Pillar 2

AI Implementation Support

Helping nonprofits responsibly adopt AI tools that extend their capacity, reduce administrative burden, and free their teams to focus on mission-driven work.
